Another Green Eggs and Ham Season? Acclaim and Ambition Are The Reason!

The animated television show based on the story of Sam and Guy

Was made with amazing talents and a budget that was extraordinarily high [6] [9] [12] [17] [19].

I have watched all thirteen episodes on Netflix in order with my boyfriend

And we were so enchanted by it from the beginning to the end [11].

The cartoon has received so much praise that a second season awaits us all [16].

As “The Second Serving”, it could hopefully not cause ratings to fall [6].

It was teased starting with a live-action skit of Sam’s hands back in December [16].

Hopefully, Sam and Guy’s quest to East Flubria will be something to remember.

I am happy to write about the great cartoon based on a Dr. Seuss book again.

I will once again analyse the first season’s aspects in rhymes, so say when!

I know I am sounding like Grunty from Banjo-Kazooie as you read [23] [24],

But please note that writing in rhymes like this is just a witty deed.

Without hesitation, I would like to expand on my previous review

And do some further analysis of the first season with all of you [38] [39].

season 2 hint
If the series was to end just after one whole season,
Then there would not be a moment like this for that reason. [16]

meepville
The quest to Meepville is over now that Season 1 is done.
What awaits us on the quest to East Flubria ought to such fun. [14]
The outcome of the show has a ton of creative aspects that I like a lot!

I would go swimming in the train’s bath cart, as long as the water is nice and hot [18].

The chickeraffe is a prime example of something bizarrely unique to me.

The pinwheels around Guy’s treehouse that glow in the night are a sight to see [14].

It would make sense if a few green eggs came from a green hen.

One of them is very different from a Living Books counterpart from back then [4].

I would ironically travel on a bus with metal arms than can ski.

It is no wonder I praise Green Eggs and Ham for providing creativity [35].

As I mentioned last time, the backgrounds are drawn and coloured in so well [38] [39].

The palettes are pleasing, even for the dull and lifeless prison [21]. I can tell!

The brilliant art style enhances the creativity of the first season of the show,

So the second season ought to provide some more with the same flow.

The first season’s episodes were named after most of the book’s rhymes, you see [11].

Furthermore, one episode of the second season ought to be named, “Tree”.

cruise ship submarine
I love how a big cruise ship can go underwater like a submarine.
It is one of the most imaginative examples of transport I have ever seen. [14]

pinwheels
I could watch all of the coloured pinwheels glow and spin all night
As they are all part of such a beautiful and tranquil sight. [14]
Would anyone else like to try a green chunk of ham and some green yolks [22]?

There is also a green eggs and ham recipe that is suitable for vegan folks.

It looks like some fast-food place also serves green eggs and ham,

So I would not mind a little road trip with a chickeraffe and Sam.

It is quite crazy how the meal is also served as a drink [14].

Is there also a drink that has the flavour of chicken and peas that are pink [4]?

Green eggs and ham are also served with pots of noodles from a vending machine.

One recipe served with a little pirate flag marks the spot if you know what I mean.

The hamageddon is a massive meal that I could not finish by myself [36].

Sam stated that they are nutritious, so he has good physical health.

The iconic recipe was firstly a special breakfast cooked by the mother of Sam,

So there is a legitimate reason why he keeps eating green eggs and ham.

Could the second season introduce a green ham and cheese sandwich in a scene?

Like the one in The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss if you know what I mean [34]?

popcorn kebab
Green eggs and ham can also be eaten as a popcorn kebab.
I hope Sam will not be forced to go to a special food rehab. [18]

do not eat one of my eggs again
“Do you realise that cooking green eggs and ham is hard work?!
Don’t you dare eat one of my eggs again, you little jerk!” [18]
I remember my thoughts on the portrayals of Sam-I-Am and Guy-Am-I [38] [39].

Most of their moments made us laugh and a few of them made us cry [5] [22].

Sam-I-Am sure is one happy-go-lucky and charmingly dorky fellow.

It is no wonder they chose Adam Devine to do his voice for the show [12] [29].

Even though I believe the excellent cartoon was worth all of the hype [13] [14],

I am starting to be afraid of Sam being referred as a bad gay stereotype [5] [22].

But as I watched the show, I have thought of an interesting theory [37].

The adorable red-hatted hero Sam shows signs of his mania quite clearly.

Even though plenty of moments with the upbeat cutie are hilarious [5] [22],

Mania as part of bipolar disorder can lead to recklessness, thus it can be serious [25] [35].

The plot twist was quite shocking as we would not expect Sam to be the culprit [22] [35],

But at least since he is meant to be one of the heroes, he deeply regrets it.

In the end, we all witnessed well-deserved freedom for the chickeraffe,

So I believe that Sam might have bipolar disorder, thus he is not a sociopath [19] [22] [25] [35].

sam might have bipolar disorder
Sam must have been depressed throughout most of his childhood.
He seems to have covered it up in the present by being as happy as he could [19].
His mother leaving him was the last time he saw her.
This all must be the reason why he could have bipolar disorder. [5] [21]

cute tickling
Sam has been rather reckless through the series.
His apparent bipolar disorder is one of my theories.
Ultimately, Samuel-I-Amuel is just too cute to be a thug.
I bet I am not the only one who wants to give him a hug. [14]
I also believe that Guy-Am-I could have depression from every failed test [19].

I feel bad for him as his bad luck would hardly be put to rest.

Guy’s family members at least saw his successes in the past [35],

But possibly due to depression, his self-belief did not last [19] [28].

He often suffers from rough luck, which is rubbing salt into a boo-boo.

His failed attempts at winning a lady’s heart also made him a little blue.

Depression can affect your motivation into doing the things you really enjoy [27].

Guy gave up on inventing to watch paint dry after his invention was destroyed.

Those verbally abusive job adverts in the newspaper really did not help the case [5].

Reading any of them in real life definitely would not put a smile on my face.

At least how he eventually tried a green egg must have lowered his sadness

And I hope that something in the second season can give him a dose of gladness [22].

I can see that plenty of the fellow viewers were shipping Sam with Guy.

They must have found the yaoi shipping so cute that they could die [5] [22].

guy
Guy’s crankiness must be part of how he is depressed,
But my theory on his mental state is simply something I guessed.
I did not want my writing to stink like a skunk,
But I do not mind if my theories get debunked. [16]

cute moment
Even though Guy was constantly annoyed by a manic cutie,
He will soon prepare for a selfless and motivating duty. [16]
E.B. is relatable to me as she wants to make the most of her childhood.

Her mother is overprotective, but her skills in counting beans are good [19] [35].

Although it is realistic for an overprotective parent to waste their breath,

Michellee possibly suffers from social anxiety from her husband’s death [26],

But her passion for art brought her and her daughter closer towards the end.

I guess the second season ought to officially declare her as Guy’s girlfriend [5] [35].

That is if she also decides to travel to East Flubria with her child

And often maintain her composure, being rational and mild.

E.B. seems to have picked up a good knowledge of a potential pet.

Could she have Asperger’s Syndrome? As someone who is autistic, I would bet [1].

I watched the show at a time I felt like I grew up in a generation

When society kept treating autistic people with alienation [10].

Part of E.B.’s desire to own a pet must be due to some isolation

When it comes to Michellee’s overprotectiveness in any situation [10].

Plenty of people with Asperger’s have a bigger knowledge of a certain subject [1].

E.B. is lucky to gain as much understanding of chickenraffes as she can get.

counting beans
It was outstanding that Michellee cannot lose count of that many beans [19].
She even maintains that accuracy in a few other scenes.
Looking closely at an example of her overly protecting E.B.,
I also suspected that she was showing a sign of OCD [32]. [19]

eb
E.B.’s relationship with her mother reminds me of Nemo and Marlin [8].
Despite subjugation, she remained as an adventurous little darlin’. [17]
Snerz, the main antagonist is the ruthless animal collector I could not bear [15].

And no, I will not make any Donald Trump jokes just because of his tie and hair!

His deed is not an excuse for how his mother had to free his childhood pet [35].

Not even contacting her kindly on Mother’s Day is the harshest he could be yet.

It is shocking how the goat is such a mean one like the Grinch [20]!

The way he caused destruction made Sam more than flinch!

There was a big fraction of suspense when he chased the heroes on a boat.

I would definitely not eat green eggs and ham with that version of the goat.

I like how Guy aimed to protect Michellee and E.B. from the likely psychopath [20].

As for the Bad Guys who were also after Mr. Jenkins the Chickeraffe,

Several of their moments, especially with Gluntz have made us laugh [35].

The duo sure knew their stuff across their own daring path.

I think Gluntz ought to give McWinkle some blue fur dye in the second season

Unless he can remain calm and let the grey turn back into the blue for a good reason.

bad guy gets karma
Snerz got what he deserved for taking his anger out the wrong way.
Since Flerz is the new C.E.O., would he make an employee’s day? [16] [21]

you are a mean one senor goat
You are a fiendish one, Señor Goat.
Would Cruella De Vil like a new fur coat [33]? [20]
Even though the mouse and the fox are also completely different from the book.

I would say that none of them are portrayed as a ruthless crook.

The fox’s name is Michael and his portrayal is questionable, to say the least.

There is a reason he mediates to try and refrain from having eggs for a feast.

He has a crush on a green hen named Sandra and hopes to win her heart.

Though as an apparent feminist [21], the mentioning of her name made him start…

His efforts to resist temptation into sinfulness kind of reminds me of Freddie,

A character from Barnyard who tries to keep his friendship with a rooster steady [2].

The mouse’s portrayal in the cartoon as a prisoner is rather bleak,

Even if his profanity towards Sam is censored with a regular mouse squeak.

I loved his musical number as we can at least sympathise with him [21],

But if I could speak mouse, I would still find his bitterness quite dim.

Their Living Books counterparts were very kid-friendly and one-dimensional [3],

But I see that more mature developments for the fox and the mouse were intentional.

mouse
Bonjour, Monsieur Bleue Mouse.
At least you are no longer in the jailhouse [13]. [14]

fox
I think Michael at least deserved that chance he got towards the end,
But will Sandra someday agree to be much more than his friend? [21]
I would also like to expand on some other aspects, including the narrator’s role.

As the only one who rhymes, he gives out explanations with all of his soul.

I am quite aware that the cartoon’s production required a lot of money [9].

One reason why it was all well spent is because of the moments that were funny.

My boyfriend and I laughed hysterically at how Sam tried to stay awake!

During his conversation with Michellee, he would not give himself a break!

The “Think About What You’ve Done” train cart also made us chuckle

And Sam apparently seeing Guy’s soul was priceless beyond a single bruckle [5].

As for the moment when the heroes disguised themselves by swapping each hat,

I asked myself, “Are the people in the town really that foolish enough to fall for that?!”

And would you believe the fish from another Dr. Seuss story made an appearance [7],

Even though the destruction of their home in the sea was a horrific interference [21]?

Each setting is portrayed imaginatively with its humour and surreal charm [35].

You can say that I am quite curious about what is on East Flubria’s farm.

one fish two fish red fish blue fish
Do any of these poor fish seem familiar to you [7]?
Including the red one and the one who is blue? [21]

wtf
As funny as many scenes in the cartoon are to me,
Having a business card shredded in real life is not what I want to see. [14]
Overall, I am grateful to have witnessed a brilliant first season of a cartoon.

I kind of knew that the second season would have been announced rather soon [6] [16].

I know another season may not be necessary to some of you,

But it can provide some more aspects, both familiar and new.

Besides, we cannot bear to see a series to end with a cliffhanger.

With the same charms, the second season ought to be a banger.

One new aspect could be Sandra and Michael on another date

And a few others ought to make the next season worth the wait.

As much as the green eggs and ham recipe always looks yummy,

I hope that in the second season, Sam will eventually find his mummy [5] [16] [22].

Again, we do not want the series to end with unsolved issues.

Otherwise, a cliffhanger will lead to us needing plenty of tissues.

As I remember that Living Books adaption of a classic tale back then [3],

My rhyming is Mr. Enter’s review of The Cramp Twins all over again [30].

We all enjoyed watching such a fantastic cartoon in late 2019.

We will wait for more adventures with eggs and ham that are green.

east flubria
East Flubria is halfway around the world, according to Guy [16].
Will any tasks on the way involve Sam sneaking like a certain Sly [19] [31]? [16]

season 1 rehash
Like a person needs a glass of water or juice,
Every generation needs a bit of Dr. Seuss.
I enjoyed watching Season Number One with you.
I sincerely hope to enjoy Season Number Two. [4]
