Yet Another Top Ten Kart Designs In Mario Kart Tour

Happy New Year, fellow gamers [41] [48] [82]! There are quite a lot of new interactive experiences to delve into throughout 2024, including Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, the highly anticipated remake of Lollipop Chainsaw that was going to retell Juliet Starling’s eighteenth birthday last year but got delayed to some point this year [28] [80] [81] [82], along with the seventh season of Totally Spies [67]. Surely, those who are still racing in Mario Kart Tour are quite hyped for familiar tours in the new year of the dragon [11] [47] [83] [84]. Okay! A reference to Spyro: The Year of the Dragon was intended this time [54]! There have been some zany outfits worn by the characters, including Luigi in his vacation outfit, Donkey Long as a gladiator, Pauline in her cowgirl attire and Waluigi as a vampire and new bizarrely imaginative High-End kart designs throughout the tours, such as the Hot Pod Hot Rod, the Chain Chomp Chariot, and the Combo Cruiser [58]. For the third time, I shall make a list of kart designs from Mario Kart Tour that I consider some of my favourites. The listing might come off as a little more critical, compared to the previous lists [75] [78]. Nevertheless, I still admire the artistic value and creativity put into many of these karts with an open mind, as well as seasonal costumes for characters and this is quite a bummer that there will not any new ones throughout 2024 [24] [27].

It may be also quite sad that Kim Kardashian Hollywood is no longer available in app stores and will no longer be accessible this April after nearly as decade of teaching that Willow Pape a lesson [4] [17] [22], but at least Mario Kart Tour can still provide chances for a Nintendo nerd to get a previously available High-End kart, glider, or driver in new tours [37]. You can tell that old content is being reused by compared this year’s New Year’s your trailer with last year’s [40] [41] [75]. Once again, this Top Ten list is all based on my opinions [75] [78]. But before we begin, please do not let a fanfare play over and over to the point where it will ring in my head when I go to bed, even if you are an expert at Age of Empires 2 [44]. [41]

10. Blazing Eagle

Our first entry is all fired up. Okay! That was another reference to Spyro the Dragon intended but in the Skylanders series [71] [72] [73]! The fiery counterpart of the Swift Talon looks like a fire-type Pokémon [58] [61]. I should know because I recall Moltres striking a pose in Pokémon Snap [38]. The Black Penguin Slider, the first entry on the first list may be considered cuter [78], quite like the brand new plushies based on Stolas from Helluva Boss that are currently available to pre-order [19] [20], but at least the Blazing Eagle has eyes that make it look determined, not possessed [58] [61] [78]. I could hope for a green equivalent if new content was still being added after October 2023 [24] [27] [55], but that would remind those who are not too keen on the Sonic Riders series too much of Jet the Hawk [51] [52]. As a vague reminder of Rev Runner, the descendant of Road Runner from Loonatics Unleashed [12], the Blazing Eagle that debuted in the 2022 Autumn Tour alongside the Swift Talon and the Gold Eagle would be sure to turn up the heat once you compete [58] [61].

9. Desert Rose Wagon

Our second entry is the rather feminine counterpart of the Yeehaw Wagon that debuted in the Pipe Tour back in July and was declared the signature kart for Pauline in her cowgirl outfit [57]. Resembling a Conestoga wagon, this kart could be a signature transport for Applejack from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic [14], Clara Clayton from Back To The Future Part III or a party member from The Oregon Trail [5] [42]. As you may recall from the Number 1 spot on my first list [78], I adore roses and the rose attached to the front of the wagon and its rose-patterned bandana says it all [57]. The bonnet is pretty cute in an easing tint of saffron with a simple white polka-dot pattern. There is also an orange gingham pattern for its back cover that is great for a Western theme that is a lot more wholesome than the Wrath Ring of Hell in Helluva Boss [31] [32]. With some feminine flair and a rustic Wild West vibe, the Desert Rose Wagon has bloomed in the Number 9 spot on the list [57].

8. Monarch Kart

This regal kart that shone in the 2023 Anniversary Tour would be fit for a king like Conker the Squirrel or King Dedede besides King Mario [23] [35] [55]. Did it cost 1,200,000 bells to manufacture…or a little more than that [2] [35]? Its golden counterpart simply known as the “Gold Monarch Kart” debuted alongside it but looking at all the gold equivalents of High-End karts [58] [61], I am starting to suspect that Golden Queen from Skylanders: Trap Team is secretly involved in the manufacturing [73]. Let us not give Wario any ideas outside of the tours though [79]. If new content was being added to the game [24] [27], there could be a deep green and silver equivalent of the Monarch Kart for King Luigi in the next anniversary tour or a rose gold counterpart for Pink Gold Peach…or should I say “a pink gold counterpart” for her if she were to flaunt a splendid new pink gold outfit in the next Princess Tour [58] [60] [61]?

7. Strawberry Soft Swerve / Chocolate Mint Soft Swerve

These two are sure to satisfy the sweet teeth of the Nintendo nerds who have either in their selection and are considered the signature karts for Penguin Luigi and Penguin Toadette [56] [65]. The Strawberry Soft Swerve, which was previously mentioned in my first list debuted in the 2022 Sundae Tour and the Chocolate Mint Swerve debuted along with its golden counterpart, the Melon & Banana Balloons, and the Spooky Sprinkle Balloons in the 2023 Sundae Tour [56] [60] [61] [65]. Again, I wonder if the Golden Queen is responsible for all the gold counterparts of these High-End karts [73]. I can still picture Tiffi from the Candy Crush franchise steering the Strawberry Soft Swerve while her sister Kimmy competes in the Chocolate Mint Swerve [25] [26]. Anyone up for some strawberry and mint chip ice cream after this list? But again, do not consume too much before the next race as I still stand by not wanting my fellow racers to get kartsick [75].

6. Spicy Zucchini

See? I am not totally biased with floral designs as I understand that not everything has to look like something from Barbie Land [6]! The kart on the Number 6 spot is the fiery Zucchini from the 2023 Summer Tour that would be a Fire Bro’s ideal kart [58] [61]. The flames on a stylish shade of red reminds me of one of the alternate armours in the 2016 version of Ratchet & Clank [53]. Speaking of red alternate attire, the character I would be thrilled to race in the Spicy Zucchini would be Fire Rosalina as the opposite of Ice Mario in the Catc-Ice, the Ice Dozer, or the Frost Wing [58]. If you have the Spicy Zucchini in your selection during the 2023 Summer Tour [61], then it would be sure to spice up your determination to win a race. Not that any chilli peppers from Taz: Wanted would be needed [21].

5. Sakura Sports Coupe

I just love sakura imagery, which is why the Sakura Sports Coupe has made it to the Number 5 spot [58]. However, the thing that faintly hinders the overall design for me would be the bright yellow seat. Nonetheless, the Sakura Sports Coupe is beautiful, looking quite like a vehicle from Barbie Land and the seat would be a lot less noticeable if you race in it, especially as a big character like Bowser or Donkey Kong [6] [37]. In addition to the lighter note, the seat at least makes the Wild Pink’s tyres go well with the overall design [58]. The Sakura Sports Coupe would be especially fit for Peach in her happi, kimono or yukata and it also could be the ideal kart for Sakura Miku [18] [45] [58]. What could be next if new content was still being added after the fourth anniversary [24] [27] [55]? A lovely Sakura Parasol as the next most gorgeous glider? I would have been ecstatic to see that, along with a pink equivalent of the Rose Taxi [78]!

4. Gold Cupid’s Arrow / Silver Cupid’s Arrow

Look how beautiful these variants of Cupid’s Arrow from the Princess Tour are [58] [61]! I cannot believe that one of my predictions from the previous list came true, but not in a Valentine’s Tour [61] [75]! The fronts of the karts look just like the gems of a necklace or in the Silver Cupid Arrow’s case, Princess Catherine’s engagement ring [67], but in a tint of sky blue and the shape of a heart. The Wonderful Diamond from the 2023 Exploration Tour would go so well with Gold Cupid’s arrow and the Glittering Glider is a fitting alternative that also debuted in the Princess Tour alongside it [60]. I would be lovestruck at a rose gold (or pink gold in Pink Gold Peach’s case) equivalent of Cupid’s Arrow with a ruby or emerald, along with an aquamarine counterpart of the Wonderful Garnet if there will be another Valentine’s Day Tour next month or another Princess Tour this Spring…if there was still motivation to feature new content after the fourth anniversary [24] [27] [61].

3. Rainbow Taxi

As another equivalent of the Yellow Taxi, the Rainbow Taxi is simple yet splendid with rainbow accents [64], but it is not quite as eye-catching as the Rose Taxi [78]. There is also the Platinum Taxi that is about as purely coloured as the White Royale but it could do without the “2020” sign [13] [63]. It debuted in the 2023 Space Tour and has the Party-Wing’s tyres to boost its multi-coloured flair [64]. Coincidently enough, the impressively colourful Party-Wing was Number 4 on the first list [78]. Just imagine driving on Rainbow Road in a Rainbow Taxi. Double rainbow all the way [49]! Or in the case of using the Tropical Balloons from the 2022 Ocean Tour or the Rainbow Flappy Wings from the 2023 Night Tour to glide [60], TRIPLE RAINBOW!!! As the signature kart for Mario in his astronaut suit, the Rainbow Taxi is sure to bring some colour into your determination, starting with the Rocket Start Plus [64].

2. Happy Ride

As much as I adore the White Royale for being an elegant kart for a royal racer who favoured the Royale from Mario Kart DS back in its day [36], I cannot deny that this joy ride is ideal for a wedding, even though it also looks like an aspect of the arranged wedding between Bowser and Princess Peach in Super Mario Odyssey that was also climatically established in The Super Mario Bros. Movie [39] [68]. Introduced in the Peach Tour, it is the pearly white equivalent of the Ghost Ride from the first Halloween Tour [59] [61]. Fit for a wedding OR a race, especially with the Silver Bells glider that debuted in the same tour, its gold counterpart that was also welcomed at the time or its gold counterpart or the Glittering Parasol from the Singapore Tour [60], the Happy Ride is fancy and can be fuelled even more by Mini-Turbo Plus [61].

Honourable Mention 1. Sweet Daytripper

This equivalent of the Daytripper is encased in white, red, and pink, making it sort of like a vehicle from the Pride Ring of Hell in Hazbin Hotel [30] [76] [77]. Perhaps Angel Dust can steer it after an epic rap battle between him and the cheesy but hilariously memorable incarnations of Mario and Luigi from Hotel Mario [16].

Honourable Mention 2. Bright Girl

As cheery as this equivalent of the Birthday Girl is with its candy-colour palettes, it may be too patterned for fashion experts, such as Gracie from the Animal Crossing franchise [1]. Nevertheless, it is still cute and I would have loved to witness a Peach-themed equivalent of the Festival Girl, the kart that was Number 5 on my first list [78].

Honourable Mention 3. Sports Coupe 2022

I could have included this one on the list for its vibrant palette resembling fireworks in the night sky, but considering how its design is associated with celebrating New Year’s Day in the 2022 New Year’s Tour [58] [61], it has not aged all that well. What a missed opportunity to establish a 2023 counterpart for it during the New Year’s Tour in 2023 [40] [58] [61]! Well, at least the New Year’s 2023 glider debuted at the time [60].

Honourable Mention 4. Dreamy Egg

The pastel palette of this egg sure is dreamy, though its tyres might be a bit much unless you love rainbow patterns as much as pastel-coloured skies [58] [61]. If only tyres have become unlockable and selectable in an update for Mario Kart Tour at some point [78], yet that would have resulted in more microtransaction deals and the game has, again, been criticised for how its money-hungry deals make it seem like the sin of greed [69].

Honourable Mention 5. Green Cat Cruiser

The green counterpart of the Cat Cruiser is ideal for fans of Sprigatitio from the current generation of the Pokémon franchise [10]. It may look surreal but it still looks quirky. I suspected that it would feel left out from the previous lists [75] [78], so it is yet another honourable mention in this one. If only there can be a Calico Cat Cruiser in a new Cat Tour next month if motivation to add new content after the game’s fourth anniversary was still around [24] [27] [75].

1. Grand Badwagon

Behold! Another one of my favourite kart designs in Mario Kart Tour! It is yet another equivalent of the Badwagon [58]. It is also ideal for a wedding that is debuted in the Wedding Tour in Summer 2021 [61], but shorter and arguably less fancy than Happy Ride without a flower at the front and not as striking as the Flowery Bandwagon [75], yet it still encased in a sophisticated combination with white, purple, and gold [58]. Additionally, it can be considered more fitting for a race due to its fairly modern style, yet there is no room to talk when the Royale has been a competitor’s kart encased in classy flair since Mario Kart DS [36]. You can consider the Number 1 spot on my third list of Top Ten Kart Designs in Mario Kart Tour a fusion of the Number 1 spots on my first and second lists as it consists of the style and floral theme of the Rose Taxi and the colour palette of the Purple Bunny [75] [78].

This concludes my third and possibly final list of favourite kart designs in Mario Kart Tour. As always, you do not have to unlock a kart to admire its design. Pity that there are all High-End karts and are only available during tours, but please do not be too desperate to get one as a new study has shown that the game has been considered more stressful than fun [15] [34]. Besides, I would like to save money for things other than microtransactions in apps, like lovely elements for me and my fiancé’s eventual wedding. Outside of gaming, episodes of the first season of Hazbin Hotel will enlighten me and my fellow hazbeans weekly with its finale possibly being the icing on the cake next month and plenty of my fellow 2000s kids shall rejoice if MyScene officially returns this Summer [7] [29] [43] [66] [76] [77]. But as important as it is to find out what brings you happiness, it is also important to show some kindness and support for innocent people affected by unfortunate events [8] [9], so please do so from the bottom of your heart. I guess one of the reasons why the developers stopped adding new content after the fourth anniversary is because of its criticism regarding its microtransaction deals [66], along with a little brainstorming for the next big instalment of the Mario Kart series [3] [24] [27]. It is deeply concerning that a fairly new study has claimed that the game is declared one of the most stressful video games of all time [34], but I can still appreciate some of the creativity put into the karts, gliders, and costumes for the characters throughout the tours [75] [78]. Also outside of gaming, I can still feel valued for spreading kindness to others and some ounces of creativity [44] [46], right? You deserve to feel valued too, especially during the beginning of a new year. Feel proud of your latest achievements, no matter how unsupportive some people may seem towards them [50]. [37]

Oh! And one more thing! It is not how your vehicle looks that matters the most in a racing game [75] [78]. It is how fond you are of playing it and the overall quality of the gameplay that are the top priorities. Am I right, fellow gamers? I shall see you at the finish line! Sorry not sorry about the banana skins, red skills, fake item boxes and blue shell [36]! [55]

Familiar Faces And New Modes In The Fifth Chapter of Fortnite

On Britney Spears’ 42^nd birthday and the release of a special in honour of the 60^thanniversary of Doctor Who [12] [17], the fifth chapter of Fortnite was launched [20] [54]. As you know by now, Fortnite: Battle Royale has become perhaps too reliant on special guest appearances from popular franchises for ongoing relevancy. Nonetheless, those who are especially familiar with its humble beginning in 2017 can be observant towards its originality and individuality still peering from the large number of crossovers, especially the gameplay in the Save the World and Battle Royale that has always been a hybrid of Minecraft and Team Fortress 2 [18] [78]. Oh! And do not forget about the original cast of characters from the first few seasons [26], as well as the forms of ambition a Fortnite fighter can express in Fortnite Creative [778! And speaking of gameplay, three new gameplay modes in Fortnite have been established [51]. Load your guns and sharpen your axes just before we list five guest appearances and some interesting new gameplay modes at the beginning of a new chapter that were revealed throughout the week after Stolas from Helluva Boss took us to the stars and made us look his way during a lament [65] [82] [83]. 

While my fellow sinners are tempted into purchasing new Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss merchandise and players are all fired up for the third season of Crash Team Rumble featuring Spyro the Dragon [8] [40] [41] [82] [83], Fortnite has gotten even more ambitious! [20] [54]

The first special guest appearance that caught my attention was Peter Griffin from Family Guy [9] [20] [54]. Strangely enough, he has been rendered into a slender, muscled figure, making him “Buff Peter”. I am terribly sorry, but have we learned nothing from the controversial collaboration with Rick & Morty [46]? Much like how Rick and Morty’s 2D art style was strangely adapted in the 3D world of Fortnite [79], the same result has happened to Peter. The appearance of the family guy may grind some gears, especially in an off-putting rendering of his iconic art style being pasted into the world of Fortnite [20] [54], but I suppose that collaborating with properties aimed at older audiences helps the game appeal to older Fortnite fighters. Besides, you cannot go wrong with a little “B-Bird is the word!” now and then [23]. Moreover, it is quite infatuating how a promotional video features how Mr. Griffin got his power for the event [22]. We still ought to be aware of how popular Fortnite has become with today’s youth, especially those under the age of sixteen, but at the same time, let us keep preaching the agelessness of animation, whether it will be 2D, 3D or even stop-motion [75].

Snake from the Metal Gear Solid franchise is once again on duty for Fortnite: Battle Royale [20] [54]. It can be argued that his appearance in Fortnite is even more ambitious than his role as a fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate [48]. In my opinion, the collaboration with the Metal Gear Solid franchise is the most logical of the bunch because of Snake’s skills in weaponry and the elements of stealth that can occur when you try to shoot a player when they least expect it [48] [59]. However, making him perform those dance moves could be considered even more embarrassing than the time when he was on a skateboard like some Tony Hawk wannabe in Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance [35]. Moreover, such wit could also be off-putting because of how intensely serious the aspects of Snake’s character is as a soldier diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder [52]. But as we relish in the fun of Fortnite, we can still show kindness to fellow gamers who happen to have been diagnosed with PTSD themselves [44], aside from some playful banter within a competition. What could be next? Solid Snake as a Survivor in Dead By Daylight…or would that apply to Lara Croft from the Survivor timeline of the Tomb Raider franchise [64] [67]?

While Adam Francis, Felix Richter, and Renato Lyra from The Rainbow Six Siege Collection strive for survival in Dead by Daylight [11] [68], Snake is still all about that stealth. [20] [54]

Would you believe that the iconic style of LEGO has been rendered into the world of Fortnite for a new survival sandbox mode [7] [34] [38] [51] [55]? Of course, LEGO is no stranger to crossovers as some of my fellow gamers may recall LEGO Dimensions, the toys-to-life game that resulted in several crossovers, including the quirkiness of The Simpsons being built a different kind of saffron-fleshed artistry [29], the creation of Sonic the Hedgehog in LEGO form and the day being saved once again with The Powerpuff Girls [56] [63]. Perhaps if Fortnite wants to be even more ambitious during the seasons of the fifth chapter of Fortnite: Battle Royale [20] [54], Deadpool can make a big comeback as a LEGO figure in LEGO Fortnite [5], even if that would result in him being muted once again [79]. After all, LEGO is not just a toy. It is an art form. I do not doubt that LEGO Fortnite is being compared to Minecraft [45], especially if there happens to be a new crossover event at some point in 2024 as Minecraft seems to have also relied a little too heavily on crossovers for relevancy with the latest one being with Jurassic World [50]. Ultimately, both LEGO lovers and Fortnite fighters are finding some joy in a new survival open-world experience [7] [38] [55].

There was quite an ironic celebrity guest appearance for the Big Bang Event [14] [21], much like how Ariana Grande was featured in the Rift Tour over two years ago [1] [9]. If you are a Fortnite fighter who is a fan of Eminem’s music [15], consider this up your alley. Surely, some of his songs have been criticised for being too aggressive and even too violent [32], but his talent is hard to deny and “Mockingbird” brought on a much more empathetic side of him and a few tears to his listeners’ eyes [4] [77], thus leading to praise for not always succumbing to certain rap and hip-hop clichés for big sales [76]. I have nothing against celebrity endorsements, but the impact they leave may not always be as bright as the shining of a star as some cartoon critics may recall the foulness of The Slim Shady Show, the infamous cartoon starring him that consisted of crude humour and extremely choppy animation [66]. The reason for Eminem’s appearance during a live event was to promote a new gameplay genre from Harmonix added to the world of Fortnite that is very similar to Guitar Hero called “Fortnite Festival” [43] [47] [51]. Aside from that, it is quite coincidental to see him in Fortnite three years after Venom had an appetite for some crossover craziness [16] [27] [73].

Lastly, The Weeknd makes another celebrity guest appearance for the launch of Fortnite Festival [19] [25] [71]. He is also associated with promoting the new rhythm mode for those who dig their tunes and rhythm gameplay [51]. What could be next? A new hit single sung by The Weeknd featuring Eminem [15] [70]? Fortnite Festival might interest Fortnite fighters who are familiar with rhythm game series like Guitar Hero and Project Diva [33] [43]. However, it might seem a bit too ambitiously different for those who are so used to the iconic battle royale mode, quite like how some younger players who grew up with the Skylanders series must have found the racing mode in Skylanders: SuperChargers a bit too dissimilar for their tastes [74]. Nevertheless, there is nothing wrong with a video game franchise wanting to try something new. I fully supported a speedy blue hedgehog trying new things when I considered myself fan of him [62] [63]. Celebrity guest appearances may seem like an uninspired tactic for public approval, but fans may get some enjoyment out of them if they are done the right way. Yes, that includes those who are still playing Kim Kardashian: Hollywood to this day [30], despite a recent lack of updates for the app [31].

Before we wrap the listings up like a Christmas present, let us discuss the elements of another new mode named “Rocket Racing” that will begin with Season Zero [49] [51]. As previously mentioned, it is quite understandable why some fans of the Skylanders series may consider the racing mode in Skylanders: SuperChargers a smaller priority [74], but I hold no ill will towards those who got a thrill out of it. The same will apply to the Fortnite fighters who are hyped for the upcoming racing mode before it goes live [49]. I have a feeling that the new mode will be compared to the likes of Disney Speedstorm and Rocket League [10] [60] [81]. Aside from Fortnite Festival providing two musical artist endorsements [14] [21] [71], I suppose that there might be endorsements of real-life racers in Fortnite: Rocket Racers…or possibly the return of Sonic the Hedgehog in his racing car known as the “Speed Star” from Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing [62]. Am I just giving the executives ideas for new crossovers? The financial stability of Fortnite appears to have increased for some new game modes [51], which can prove to outsiders that there is more to it than so many crossover battles, but I digress as there might as well be more crossovers in these new modes. 

You do not suppose that there might be a collaboration with Barbie in the first season of Fortnite: Rocket Racing [2] [3], no? That would result in the quirkiness of the crossover between Barbie and Stumble Guys and the focus on a stylish pink vehicle to steer in Forza Horizon 5 [80]. [49]

It is bizarre how three intellectual properties that do not have a lot in common and two celebrity guest appearances have been featured at the beginning of a new chapter of Fortnite. Fittingly, each of them has been elected for both familiar and fresh fun within genres, including:

• Peter Griffin and Solid Snake in another battle royale [20] [54]
• A tribe of LEGO figures in the open-world survival adventure [7] [38] [55]
• The Weeknd and Eminem promoting Fortnite Festival [19] [14] [21] [25] [47] [71]

Personally, I think there ought to be more logical crossovers throughout the fifth chapter, such as a second one with Lara Croft from the Tomb Raider franchise featuring her in her outfit from Tomb Raider Legend for the next season of Fortnite: Battle Royale [84]. Perhaps some reasonable crossovers in the new modes can include Marvel’s Avengers in LEGO Fortnite and Sonic the Hedgehog in Rocket Racing [39] [62] [63]. Outside of fighting and fun in Fortnite, there is hype for Grand Theft Auto VI beginning a new chapter of the edgy, law-breaking havoc, most notably with a new female protagonist in 2025 [6] [61]. In the meantime, if you fancy cosplaying as characters in Christmas-themed equivalents of their outfits this year [36], by all means, go right ahead. Have a festive Christmas break after a harmonious Hanukkah, Fortnite fighters [28] [58] [85]!

Some might hope to soar in Spyro 4 and others may wish to experience another crossover in Fortnite that does not seem so forced [42]. Rumour has it that the Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles will join the party later this month before Christmas [24]. Perhaps the Save The World mode can finally get a crossover at some point in 2024 [18] [78]. During the beginning of the fifth chapter, let us continue to be kind to one another within the Christmas spirit [57], whether we have been nice enough to earn a holiday update for Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration…or naughty enough to wreak havoc in the holiday event in Crash Team Rumble featuring the cast in icing palettes [8] [53]. Let It Go In The Fifth Season Of Disney Speedstorm

Do you want to read an article [36]? It has been ten years since the release of Frozen, one of Disney’s most successful modern films [15] [31] [58]. Its popularity and memorability have even been parodied in the second season of the Danger Mouse reboot [7]. Its well-deserved sequel, Frozen II provided some new songs and character development and is considered one of the best films of 2019 besides Joker and Avengers: Endgame [5] [37] [45]. Well, not everybody considered the sequel to be one of the best [1] [3]. In honour of the tenth anniversary of Princess Anna’s quest to reunite with her older sister [36], the fifth season of Disney Speedstorm has begun with a blizzard featuring the beloved main cast from Arendelle during the conclusion of Lewis Hamilton’s collaboration with Rocket League and the first few critical takes on Wish, Disney’s newest animated film starring seventeen-year-old Asha in a whole new kingdom [28] [34] [44] [53] [54]. Previously, Aladdin, Jasmine, Jafar and the Genie competed on a different kind of ride in the fourth season [22]. As the frosted highlight begins the fifth season for those who love Frozen unconditionally [28] [34], let us hope that the new racetracks caked in snow and ice will not be too slippery to race on!

This is quite an interesting way to celebrate the 10^th anniversary of Frozen aside from a new attraction known as “The World Of Frozen” in Hong Kong Disneyland and a pair of celebratory dolls if you ask me [28] [34] [38] [42] [62]. There are many more ways to celebrate ten years of an unforgettable tale of two sisters’ forced separation [4] [15] [17] [39] [65] [66]. Oh! And did I mention that there are now some shop adjustments in response to feedback from players [56]? [28] [34]

Determination is an open door for a bunch of new racers from Frozen [28] [34], including: 

• Elsa, the insecure but independent snow queen who I can deeply relate to [21] [67]
• Anna, Elsa’s selfless and quirky younger sister [20]
• Hans, Anna’s first love interest until his true colours were revealed [23] [36]
• Kristoff, the iceman who befriended Anna and became her second love interest [24]
• Olaf, the loveable snowman who likes warm hugs [25] [36]

Oh! And let us not forget about Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and Ortensia joining the races for those who are humbled by the vibes of black and white cartoons from the 1920s and 1930s known as the “Rubber Hose” era [26] [27] [46]. All the characters look quite snazzy in all their racer outfits, which is what Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles “Tails” Prower and Amy Rose could have notably had in the Sonic Riders series [57] [61], but at least Pauline and Peachette look amazing in theirs in the sixth and final wave of downloadable content for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe [50]. Who knows who will be part of a pack of playable characters in the sixth season [29]? Perhaps the main cast of Tangled or the main stars of The Princess and the Frog could be the next big highlight [59] [60].

Queen Elsa of Arendelle is an embodiment of mental health awareness within an unmistakable portrayal [36] [37] [55]. It would be no surprise if I get a chance to race as her [67]. As for Hans, I guess letting him become a racer is a way to give him some redemption after the big twist in the first film [28] [34] [36]. [28] [34]

It looks like Sven, Kristoff’s reindeer companion is a new crew member [28] [29] [34]. Say, you hopeless romantics do not suspect that the fifth season of Disney Speedstorm is the time when Kristoff started to get a little more smitten with Anna, despite being one of her opponents, no [36]? [28] [34]

If you are a fan of Frozen and you love to compete in racing games, show yourself for the royal sisters of Arendelle and their co-stars in the fifth season of Disney Speedstorm [28] [34] [37]. Disney may have received some flak for being “woke” these days [9] [13] [35] [47] [48], but the “wokeness” never bothered me anyway [36]. Aside from how the Disney devotees will not hold it back as they cherish the chill of the wintery racetracks [28] [34], the stars could start to align and sinners could take it as a sign in a music video starring Stolas from Helluva Boss this December [6] [40] [43] [49], the same time when The Last of Us Part II Remastered is available for PlayStation 5 owners to pre-order [52]. I suppose that some Disney devotees ought to watch Olaf’s Frozen Adventures once again to feel festive during the Christmas break [18] [19] [51]. But before you unwrap your presents from under your tree and dine on a roasted turkey or a bucket of KFC with your family [2] [12], let it go with Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf or even Hans in the fifth season of Disney Speedstorm, starting with the first time in forever [28] [34] [36]. Okay! I will stop making references to the songs now! 

If the wintery Frozen vibes of the fifth season of Disney Speedstorm are a bit too chilly for you [28] [34], feel free to warm up for a battle with SpongeBob SquarePants in the new Bikini Bottom map in Brawlhalla [8] [68]. [8]

There has been quite a lot of cartoony crazes in gaming this year [57] [58] [59], including the collaboration between Fall Guys and Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles and the Happy Tree Friends edition of The Crackpet Show [40] [56] [61]. Furthermore, moments like those can be considered a little crazier if there happens to be a crossover. Those who were bewildered at the fanmade crossover between Helluva Boss and Murder Drones from MORØ Productions may understand where I am coming from [35]. To an extent, a crossover can be a little more ambitious if a fan is able to interact with it. By now, Fortnite fighters are familiar with that feeling, yet there have been some crossovers in Fortnite: Battle Royale that made less sense or just turned out to be less satisfying than others [54]. After all, the collaboration with Rick and Morty missed the mark for how the art style of Rick and Morty rendered in the 3D world of Fortnite looked a little too bizarre and the skins got banned for several months after the arrest of Justin Roiland, the series’ creator [24] [30] [54]. On a lighter note, could these new crossovers that are about to be analysed be considered right up your alley of quirkiness…or scariness? Fasten your seatbelt before we proceed to analyse the first crazy crossover to discuss.

A month ago, there was a Toy Story-themed event in Fall Guys [21], but who is collaborating with who this month? [21]

Let us start with the next big step of Lightning McQueen’s career outside of Pixar Animation Studios in Rocket League [46]. It is quite bizarre to put an anthropomorphic car in a world of realistic vehicles that cannot talk or sense anything at all, yet it is meant to be after the celebration of Halloween with the main cast of The Nightmare Before Christmas [44]. Nevertheless, a previous racer could sense the thrill of racing as no other than Bumblebee from the Transformers franchise back in June [45]. I have been hopeful for a second season of Cars On The Road, a spin-off series on Disney+, but rumour has it that it might have been cancelled due to the streaming platform’s apparent downfall [20]. But who knows? The trailer for it might just pop up any day near the Christmas break or in early 2024 [17]. In addition to a lighter note, Mr. McQueen is looking quite expressive in the twelfth season of Rocket League [46]. Furthermore, there is hype for Elsa and Kristoff from the Frozen franchise to let it go in a new way and no longer feel lost in the woods in the fifth season of Disney Speedstorm [18] [19] [25] [26]. Vroom vroom!

Secondly, let the force of a Minecrafter be with you in Minecraft x Star Wars: Path of the Jedi [39] [50]. This is the second time there has been an official Star Wars showcase in Minecraft as some of you may recall the adventures based on the original trilogy and the Mandalorian series three years ago [32]. Despite the ambitiousness of the new DLC, I still stand by how Minecraft seems to have become a little too reliant on crossovers to stay relevant and hip as we have witnessed a lot of third-party collaborations in Minecraft, including the Disney: Worlds of Adventure update and the co-operation of the Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles back in August [38] [40] [59], along with the collaborations with Batman and Avatar: The Last Air Bender from last year [33] [34]. Nonetheless, the originality of Minecraft still peeps through the number of third-party collaborations in terms of the creativity and open-world exploration that lies in the gameplay [43]. As for the crossovers, they can still provide some creativity and adventurousness to an extent, especially if the character skins and buildings are very well done for the fans of the franchises. Now is the opportunity for a Minecrafter to strive from a Jedi knight’s perspective with Padawan and encounter other characters, such as Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi [39] [50]. 

I am aware that the Star Wars films are live-action films [23], but because of how cartoony the characters look in the Minecraft style in this crossover [39] [50], it can still technically be counted as another cartoony craze. Well, that is probably just my artistic tastes telling me that. Aside from that, let us continue to show support for Ahmed Best and Jake Lloyd as they continue to personally progress from the unfair backlash they received from their roles in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace [3] [23] [52]. [39]

Near the end of this November, SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star and Sandy Cheeks will become the newest third-party brawlers in Brawlhalla [7]. SpongeBob’s primary attacks are the way he wields his spatula and his jellyfishing net. He can also do his karate moves with his karate gear on. Patrick can also wield a jellyfishing net and one of Sandy’s weapons is her guitar. Of course, this is not the first time SpongeBob has been in a fighting game as those who have fondly played Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl and are currently tuning into its sequel know [27] [28]. It can be argued that Brawlhalla is also coming a little too relevant on crossovers to appeal to players outside of its own fanbase as there was a crossover with Aang, Toph and Zuko from Avatar: The Last Airbender a year ago [5]. Nevertheless, these crossovers can still be enjoyable, depending on the player’s interests. During the wait for four new brawlers, including Mr. Krabs joining the roster of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 in 2024 [37], the jolly sponge, his dim-witted best friend and the intelligent squirrel from Texas shall be the newest competitors in Brawlhalla after its crossover event with Roblox [6] [7].

Uh oh! Halloween may be over, but it looks like there will be a SCARY special guest appearance in Dead by Daylight on the day before SpongeBob becomes a playable character in Brawlhalla [7] [12]. Wanna play with Chucky [9]? Well, as one can tell by the first-person perspective in the trailer, he ain’t gonna play nice [12]. A new challenge awaits the survivors (and slayers) of the previous collaborations, including the wrath of Naughty Bear as The Trapper during this year’s Haunted By Daylight event [13] [14], the galactic terror of a familiar being in Nostromo Wreckage from the Alien franchise in August and the moment of Nicholas Cage playing the role of a fellow survivor in July [11] [15]. It appears that the soul of Charles Lee Ray in the body of a cutesy doll will be a skin for the killer in the brutal game of hide-and-seek that has been terrorising survivors and feeding the inner demons of slayers since June 2016 [4] [7], which is another sign of a crossover being taken seriously with a certain character being portrayed spectacularly besides the collaborations with Freddy Kruger from the A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise [9] [10] [16]. Whether Chucky will be the killer in his regular attire or an outfit inspired by his bride Tiffany, just watch your back later this month…

In conclusion, these crossovers are quite simulating on their own accords [7] [12] [39] [46], but it can be considered more vital to see already existing properties continue to flourish on their own, such as Sonic Prime being renewed third season and to make room for brand new ones to shine in the spotlight for the first time, such as Disney’s Wish [36] [55]. Nonetheless, there might as well be a few new crossover events, as well as other things to look forward to or at least give a chance in 2024 [53], such as the highly anticipated Deadpool 3 and the upcoming reboot of Mean Girls based on its musical adaption that was established in late 2017 [8] [31] [42] [47] [60]. We must be mindful of how effective these crossovers can be, especially when a pinky promise is made to portray certain characters convincingly and respectfully [51], even though that would not always be in case as Deadpool was completely muted for his participation in Fortnite: Battle Royale and Sonic the Hedgehog’s portrayal in that episode of OK K.O. was considered…quite a downgrade [29] [48]. Until then, best of luck to those in the role-playing Grand Prix within the theme honouring Super Mario RPG in Tetris 99 and feel free to express the impact the described crossovers just left or could leave on you [41]!

The Announcement Of Sonic Dream Team Coming To Apple Arcade

As a gamer, I felt victorious as I won the 200-ticket bonus on Space Invaders Frenzy twice and earned the 500-ticket bonus on Gold Fishin’ at Llandudno Pier in North Wales nearly a month ago. Even as a former fan of Sonic the Hedgehog, I am a little intrigued after the thumbnail for its announcement trailer on YouTube caught my eye on Hello Kitty’s birthday [7] [8] [36] [37] [48]. 2023 has been quite an outstanding year for the blue speedster as he was a murder victim as an interactive April Fool’s Day joke [43], Sonic Frontiers got even better with three updates [25] [28] [39] [56], the second season of Sonic Prime expanded on possibly his toughest quest and Sonic Superstars has been inspiringly acclaimed [16] [17] [40]. It looks like there will be one more highlight of 2023 for him and his friends next month [36] [37]. Let us dream of a good outcome for Sonic Dream Team during the super sweet sixth anniversary of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp and shortly after a fantastic mid-season special blew many fans of Helluva Boss, including yours truly away [1] [14] [19] [26], along with various ways we celebrated this year’s Halloween [9], including some of us witnessing the return of three ghostly characters who haunted Chip, also known as “Light Gaia” from Sonic Unleashed fifteen years ago [13] [29] [33]. 

You can call me a sucker for rhymes all you want, but the logo vaguely reminds me of the Crazy Eight’s design as part of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe logo [19] [32]. And speaking of Hello Kitty, have you checked out the latest update for Hello Kitty Island Adventure [6]? Just like in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, a fellow kitty can decorate their own cabin [6] [18] [26]! [37]

Now, let us dash through the potential of Sonic Dream Team while our simmers are hyped for the next expansion pack for The Sims 4 this December. [47]

The first thing you will notice as you watch the announcement trailer is the animation, along with the game’s logo [36] [37]. The moment when Sonic dodges Eggman’s attacks is exactly what an admirer of his would expect from him and transitions quite nicely to a moment of him grinding on a rail in the gameplay. The art style is about as vibrant as the art styles of Sonic Frontiers Prologue: Divergence and Sonic Superstars: Trio of Trouble in terms of how the characters look and their movements are about as lively as the animation of the introduction of Sonic Mania [38] [40] [42] [52] [53]. The backgrounds in the next sequence featuring almost all the characters in action match the colour palette of the logo [32] [36] [37]. The animated sequences are exceptional enough to possibly lead to some inspiration for a new anime series at some point in the second half of this decade [54] [55]. As eye-popping and energetic as the animated sequences in the announcement trailer are, the visuals in the gameplay are notably colourful and quite detailed as an instalment designed to be an Apple Arcade exclusive [32] [36] [37]. Moreover, I suspect that there will be expanded versions of the animated sequences in the game as cutscenes to show more of their excellence.

The gameplay appears to be a smaller equivalent of the open-world aspects of the gameplay in Sonic Frontiers for mobile devices [28] [36] [37]. The roster of playable characters includes: 

• Sonic the Hedgehog [36] [37]
• Miles “Tails” Prower [36] [37]
• Knuckles the Echidna [36] [37]
• Amy Rose [36] [37]
• Rouge the Bat [36] [37]
• Cream the Rabbit and Cheese, her pet Chao [36] [37]

Each character appears to have their own abilities once again as Rouge can glide with her wings. Catching a glimpse of Sonic launching himself from a quarter-pipe ramp vaguely reminded me of the Halfpipe event in the Wii version of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games [21]. There also appear to be some battles against giant robots created by…you guessed it Dr. Eggman [36] [37]! A smaller adaption of the gameplay mechanics from a Sonic the Hedgehog game placed into an open-world adventure can be a brief reminder of Sonic Frontiers [28], especially after its third update expanded on the perspectives of Tails, Amy, and Knuckles during their respawned playabilities [39]. And aside from promising gameplay in Sonic Dream Team [36] [37], there will be a new form of originality in the premise as Dr. Eggman shall cast a dream-like distortion of reality with a relic known as “The Reeverie” [34].

A new character in quite a lovely design making her debut in Sonic Dream Team has sparked my curiosity [36] [37] [46]. Her name is Ariem and she is a goat [31]. Of course, she is not the only new character introduced in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise this year as those who are speeding through Sonic Superstars have encountered Trip the Sungazer who came off as the Sonic the Hedgehog equivalent of Angela Cross from Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando in terms of disguises and a certain aspect of gradual character growth [41] [42] [44]. As for Ariem in Sonic Dream Team, it is suspected that she will play a supporting role [31]. It is also possible that she will be a figment of the playable character’s dreams as a result of Eggman causing havoc with The Reeviere [34], which would be vaguely similar to Lumina Flowlight being the ruler of Maginaryworld in Sonic Shuffle [3]. Moreover, Ariem’s character design may be a vague reminder of Shangri Llama from Ice Age: Collison Course [10], but she still looks vibrant and graceful enough to be part of the NiGHTS series [27]. How effective can this new character’s role be and what impact can she leave on a Sonic supporter [31] [46]? Only time and access to Apple Arcade services will tell.

It is possible that Ariem will make an appearance in a future comic book series from IDW Publishing [51]. [31]

Ghost Tale, an animated short from MARVA Animated Planet that welcomed the three ghosts from Sonic: Night of the Werehog back fifteen years after its release was a fun Halloween treat for Sonic supporters [13] [33], but Dr. Eggman will be up to his old tricks again, but with a new element in Sonic Dream Team [32] [34]. As for the blue speedster’s red-hatted rival from Nintendo [20] [21], not only will his ex-girlfriend, two Kongs and Peachette be the final racers in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe roster but the Mario Kart Wii version of Rainbow Road, Rosalina’s Ice World from Mario Kart 7 and six more familiar tracks have been recreated as part of the Acorn Cup and the Spiny Cup [22]. Sonic Dream Team will conclude another motivating year exclusively on Apple Arcade alongside the launch of the expansion pass for Disney Dreamlight Valley named “A Rift In Time” shortly before the arrival of another expansion pack of The Sims 4 [13] [24] [32] [36] [37] [47], the origin of Willy Wonka gets released in the United Kingdom [50], a new generation of the Littlest Pet Shop franchise is unleashed on Roblox and the sixth and final wave of DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is there for Nintendo nerds to challenge themselves to this December [12] [22]. 

Despite the times of emotional distress I have been through this year, including the moments when I was being mentally abused by a former friend, I am thankful for the enlightenments I have experienced outside of them [5]. Moreover, Sonic Dream Team might be another cherishment during this year’s Christmas break [32] [36] [37]. yet some people are already preparing for it at the very beginning of November [45] [49]. [37]

And speaking of ghost girls, keep an eye out for Spectra Vondergeist in her hauntingly splendid new outfit later this month if you are a fan of the Monster High franchise [15]. Until then, cherish proactivity, especially for a chance to earn a new achievement [11] [23] [51]. [13]
