The Tenth Anniversary of Slender: The Arrival Now Available To Pre-Order For The PlayStation 5

But heed this spine-chilling warning, even after their primes. 

A player of a certain game from 2012 can be as quiet and alert as they can, 

But they must have lost count of how many times they got caught by the Slender Man [1] [24] [25].

Gathering eight pages sounded simple, but just one sound was the trigger…

And it was Game Over after one look at that blank face as static flickers.

The live-action film co-starring him from 2018 may have been quite a flop [11], 

But it looks like his popularity among horror fans will just not stop [14]…

Since an update for the sequel to his game is yet to commence 

And awaits those who dare to re-experience those times of suspense [4] [5] [23]. 

It has been about ten years since the PC release of Slender: The Arrival [32]. 

The bleak journey was created in Unity as another example of first-person survival. 

There is even a port of the original game for the Nintendo Wii U

And even iOS and Android users knew what they got themselves into [10] [32].

If you shall relive Lauren’s tale of searching for her childhood friend Kate, 

Let us hope that the tall, faceless man will not come and clean YOUR slate. 

The legend’s popularity spread like a plague since mid-2009 [14].
They said that the Slender Man would haunt those who stray out of line [29] [30].
You can consider those games nostalgic if you miss those years [1] [13],
But you might not sleep well after re-experiencing those fears.
The retelling of Slender: The Arrival will arrive during the Halloween season [4] [5] [23], 
But creepypastas are no longer worth my sinful devotion due to treasons [2] [16] [18] [34]. [4]

You might notice that the forest looks more vibrant and polished, compared to a decade ago [5] [6] [23]. 

It will take more than just more advanced graphics to startle you again though. 

The trailer spooked us with a shrill scream for help and the forest fire 

Where you will catch two glimpses of the faceless being in black and white attire [5] [23].

We also caught glimpses of specific imagery scribbled on the walls.

What was shown in the teaser did not seem like a sanctuary at all [22].

The familiar screeching alongside static might just ring in your ears 

As the approaching Slender Man reawakens that familiar fear [1] [5] [22] [23].

The reborn gameplay might as well be less repetitive to those who dare to play 

As they proceed to compare it to the original that unnerved them back in the day [32].

But aside from a few tweaks, the gameplay still ought to give you the chills,

Especially if your priority besides gathering pages is to not get killed [5] [23] [24] [25].

Since the second version of the original PC port introduced an alternate conclusion [32],

Could a new ending leading to S: The Lost Chapters be anything but an illusion [3]?

The retelling of Lauren’s story has been spawned in Unreal Engine 5 [32].

Will those who played the original still have what it takes to survive? 

Once the update is available on Epic Games and Steam [4], 
Many lost souls will be like hawks in a livestream.
Once the player re-enters the bad dream, 
Only those lost souls will hear them scream [4] [24] [25].
No matter how much the re-experience will scare you,
Feel free to switch between the old and the new [4] [6]. [5] [12]

Ticci Toby may no longer be considered a proxy in this decade [12] [20] [26], 

But even for some simple old times’ sake, you might still be afraid [5] [23]. 

I have nothing against those who still adore creepypastas to this day, 

Especially if they wish to keep expressing creativity beyond dismay [8] [31], 

But we must remember that such thrills are not part of real life 

And reasonable criticism of your work should not lead to some strife [2] [21] [27].

My departure from craving for creepypastas may have been daunting [15] [18] [34], 

But I am still alerted to show appreciation for respawned hauntings [5] [23]. 

Even if a widespread urban legend is ultimately untrue [27], 

A game inspired by it could leave some impact on you [13].

The remastered terror will be available on the Xbox Series X|S and the PlayStation 5 [4] [32].

Beware of Kate, also known as “The Chaser”, if you want to stay alive [20] [32].

There is also some haunting hype for S: The Lost Chapters next year or two [3],

But this Autumn, a retelling might be just about enough for you [4] [22].

The tenth-anniversary celebration of Slender: The Arrival is available to pre-order, my friend. 

You must be cautious if you get it this Halloween season next month…or it could be your end [5] [23]. 

The remake will be an update for the original for those who recall Lauren’s distress.
And it will be its own port for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S [4] [32].
Aside from a ten-year-old sequel earning an update and remake,
A third chapter could be the blood-flavoured icing on the poisoned cake [3].
Whether the theme of your Halloween will be pink, green, or black [7] [9],
Heed my warning once the Slender Man is back… [5] [23]
