Productions Of Deadpool 3 And So On Are Put On Hold. Now What? (Ft. Deadpool)

LEGO Sonic’s enthusiasm and fourth wall break that made a jab at the announcer in the reveal of some LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog sets that was released in April reminded me of a certain mouthy mercenary from Marvel who also debuted back in 1991 [22] [39]. We are all looking forward to Deadpool’s debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in May 2024 [14], but unfortunately, due to a huge strike against the use of artificial intelligence and declining payments in Hollywood known as the “SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) strike” [7] [10] [36], the productions of Deadpool 3, along with Hazbin Hotel, the rest of the second season of Helluva Boss and many other films in development have been put on hold [4] [21]. This could mean that the next film about the manly mutate might be once again scheduled to be released in September 2024 [14], depending on how long the strike will last [36]. Before the idea of playing Hello Kitty Island Adventure from Butters Scott from South Park finally becomes a reality [17] [31], it is time for me to perk up the merc by letting him wreck the fourth wall once again [39] [40] [41]. Let us hope that Mr. Wade Wilson has not forgotten his Hello Kitty backpack…again [12]. 

“Deadpool here! I had the f*** ton of fun celebrating the 10th anniversary of my own video game [19] [33], but I’m starting to feel like sh** due to my third movie’s production being shut down [21]. Nevertheless, I support these hardworking people’s right to be on strike against AI and decreasing salaries [7] [10] [36]. Hell, I would be a little weirded out if a comic starring me was made entirely out of images from the Dream app by Wombo.Art [44]! Plus, this money-making motherf***er needs money for tacos, especially on Tuesdays [21] [26]! Anyway, take it away, Laura!” [14]

The designs of Deadpool and Wolverine’s new suits for Deadpool 3 are impressive [14]. Compared to Logan’s attire in the original X-Men trilogy [18], this costume is a lot more accurate to the comics with a vibrant shade of yellow whilst remaining an MCU image with some black patches on the sides to be a yellow equivalent of Deadpool’s new suit that looks about the same, except for a few minor changes, such as a black strap on the torso and the eyes of the emblem as the buckle of his belt being slanted and moved upwards [12] [13] [14]. I am delighted that Deadpool’s suit has only a few changes as what is not broken does not really need to be “fixed” and Wolverine’s suit combines his classic comic book legacy with Hugh Jackson’s credibility in a reprised role [1] [12] [13] [14] [18]. Redesigns of superheroes suits for live-action adaptions have been hit and miss throughout the years [37] [38], but it is rather inspiring to see a big step-up from X-Men Origins: Wolverine being brought into action [14] [18] [39], even though we will have to wait a little longer after many voices deserve to be heard in Los Angeles [7] [10] [39]. 

“Look how sexy I am in my MCU suit [14]! Logan looks dashing in faithfulness to the comics [34], even though he might still smell funny [19]! Would you think these glorious designs are the result of me fondling those smooth criminals down under, reader [12]? You bet your ass they must be! Proactivity is important as we certainly don’t need any stitched-up mouths or green animated leotards that may cramp a superhero’s sex appeal [38] [39]!” [14]

Aside from Wolverine in a new suit that seems to bring out the best of his comics and movies [1] [14] [34], who else will be making an appearance in Deadpool 3? Over a week ago, it was confirmed that Jennifer Garner as Elektra would be given a chance after the unfavourable reception of Elektra back in 2005 [14] [23]. Mobius and the adorable Miss Minutes from Loki will also make appearances [15] [16], making the manly mutate’s upcoming live-action chapter tie in with the television series starring the adoptive brother of Thor on Disney+ [14]. Even though it is advisable to not include too many new characters in a sequel, especially a follow-up to a successful superhero film [13] [27], rumour has it that Daredevil, Storm from the X-Men and Invisible Woman the Fantastic Four will all make a cameo [9]. What purposes could these characters have when it comes to being new guest stars in Deadpool 3? Perhaps Elektra could be a foe who will gradually become an ally and Mobius could return from the 1920s and cause the prime conflict [16] [23] [24] [25]. Although these special guest appearances could be engaging in some way, it is important for the recently halted film to be mainly focused on some new character progression for the antiheroic mercenary [14], along with some new fourth wall breaks [12] [13].

“Ah, Elektra! One of my teammates in the Thunderbolts comics [24] [25]. I am dying to see her upgraded post-’05 costume design [23], along with my fiancé who could turn out to be gorgeously accurate to the comics at some point in Deadpool 3 [40], but not literally! I can’t die, remember? However, have you watched my second movie? Spoiler alert [13]!” [23]

“Oh! And don’t forget that Colossus, Yukio, Negasonic Coolest Name Ever and Peter W. will return in Deadpool 3, Laurapop [14]! I’ll make sure that we’re still like one big family, even though the production of Deadpool 3 has been stopped [21]!” [45]

The fight between Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) that was seen being filmed has a lot of potential to be one of the biggest highlights of Deadpool 3 [14]. While some properties are better off long forgotten due to unforgivable actions [2] [8] [20], many others deserve to spread new wings in a new era, including the masked rascal’s debut in the MCU [14], despite its production’s temporary halt [21]. Speaking of the unforgivable, it is completely understandable why so many people working in Hollywood are protesting the dominance of AI in creative works, along with the currently decreasing payments [10] [36]. These people need their jobs for financial stability and to know who they are. Furthermore, they do not deserve to be replaced by AI as if they are disposable tools. Please do not make the same big mistake regarding an emulation of Erica Lindbeck voice being used without her permission [3] [6]. On a lighter note, once the production of Deadpool 3 resumes [21], there can eventually be its official trailer to elevate the hype for it even higher. Moreover, it is believed that Deadpool 3 will be the fourth part of the fifth phase of the MCU [14]. Wilson’s participation is once again very appreciated and I thank him dearly for it.
