Will Deadpool 3 Be Rated 12 or 15…With Anything Else?

Many fellow Marvel fans still have strong hopes for another Deadpool film to not taint the merc’s legacy like the “fake” Deadpool did back in 2009 [28] [53] [56]. Meanwhile, many fellow Fortnite fighters are getting into battling with the real deal and three members of the X-Force in Fortnite this year [15] [16] [59]. Previously, we have established that Deadpool 3 might start an alternative timeline, according to one report from about a month ago [26] [57]. We also looked further into his alternative counterparts and variety of love interests, along with some of the different outfits he wore [27] [57]. I’m sure some self-awareness about it from the masked rascal in an alternative timeline would be legitimate as he was able to alter time in Deadpool 2 [11] [47]. More importantly to some of us, there have been some concerns of Deadpool 3 being toned down to PG-13 standards as possibly a new way of increasing the chances of it being marketed well [9]. Once again, I will let the comedian in crimson flap the lips hid under his mask [56] [57] [59]. Who can resist his charming ways of expressing full awareness of being a fictional character, even when he took over Manchester United back in 2018 [29]?

“Fortnite may not have given me the freedom of speech [15] [16], but at least I got my little Laurapop to once again feature my perspective in a new article [56] [57].” [15]

“I can’t come on over and give her another shoulder massage because the United Kingdom is still in lockdown and we still need to avoid local contact [19] [22] [56]. But don’t cry, my dear Laura. I’ll save your life by touching myself in honour of you tonight. The same goes for Tom Brady [18].” [54]

I am honestly rather neutral on the idea of limiting the maturity of Deadpool 3 to PG-13 standards [9]. I understand that many of us would want it to be rated R to fit in the line of live-action movies very well. Even though personally I think the masked rascal’s legacy works best in the R-rated crowd with witty sex references and a delicious amount of profanity [10] [11], there was that PG-13 version of Deadpool 2, “Once Upon A Deadpool” that featured a charming premise of the merc reading the plot in a storybook for some guy named Frederic [1]. The possibility of Deadpool 3 aimed to be rated PG-13 instead of R might be related to the theory of how its plot will suddenly disregard the events of the two previous films [9] [26]. Additionally, it could be a sign of the merc officially becoming part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2021 or 2022 [8]. Whether Deadpool 3 will be rated PG-13 or R, I would still like part of its promoting to involve selling Tedpools as there were a bunch of teddy bears dressed up as Deadpool available from Build-A-Bear Workshop’s online service a few months ago [7] [57].

“You think making me R-rated is the best for me? Laura, you pervert. I honestly don’t blame you. I would be kind of weirded out if guns get replaced with walkie-talkies in a tenth anniversary version of my first movie [44].” [54]

“I still think Laura should get a Tedpool someday [57]. I bet he would love to help satisfy a certain need in her bed, even though he might make me pretty f**king jealous.” [7]

Reflecting on how Deadpool was a bit of a jerk in that a short episode of the stop-motion series named “Marvel Heroes: What The–?“ [41], I can see that there were more episodes of the series he made an appearance in as an action figure. His pick-up line “Deadpool Vs. The Punisher” for Elektra may have been amusing, but I think someone needs to help him clean and tidy his apartment [36]. Could it be me during my experience in cleaning on Sundays? It was pretty funny when he greeted a clone of himself in his X-Force attire in “Go Undercover with Captain America” [37], but his lack of compassion for Howard the Duck in “Howard the Duck’s Silver Anniversary” was quite uncalled for [40]. He and Venom may not have got along well in the Funko Pop! Short [38], but at least they had a good talk in the bizarre dream sequence in “For Your Consideration” [39]. Sure Wade can still be a jerk sometimes to bring out his toughness and wittiness in Deadpool 3, but only when it is legitimate in order to not overshadow his humane side as there were times when he wanted to be admired in the comics [20].

“At least I’m a loveable jerk, right? C’mon Laura. You know I am, babe [58]. I know you would try and help me when I get my arm stuck under a f**king rock…again [34].” [39]

“Oh. And your boyfriend cosplayed as Captain America, right Laura? He should totally cosplay as me when he proposes to you. I know that would work splendidly!” [37]

Some viewers have theorized that the man who played the role of Deadpool at San Diego Comic-Con back in 2012 and in the skits at Marvel’s headquarters to promote his game was the same man who was the ninja in the Ask A Ninja series due to the way he sounded [4] [5]. If that is true, then I think the person who was mostly known as “Ninja” back in the days of YouTube’s classic era and so on deserves another chance as Deadpool [4] [5]. Since I believe he did a great job as portraying the character for promoting the Deadpool game with humourous dialogue [23] [35] [42] [43] [44] [45], he could possibly voice one of the voices in the merc’s head in Deadpool 3. Come on, as crazy as it sounds, I still believe that unique aspect of the merc’s character has to occur at some point, especially with the talented Ryan Reynolds being the most notable Deadpool nowadays [10] [11]. Of course, Wade in Deadpool 3 might be as perverted as the main Poolster was in his game if it turns out to be rated 15 in Britain [2]. Otherwise, he can still participate in plenty of devious moments if it turns out to be rated 12.

“That ninja guy on YouTube seems like a cool dude [4] [5]. However, I still don’t know what drugs Laura is on while she’s suggesting different guys to do voice acting for the voices in my head [56].” [43]

“They say that the pen is mightier than the sword. But if Laura is single again, she might find out what is mightier than a katana, whether my next movie will be rated PG-13 or not.” [54]

You and your filthy humour, Mr. Wilson. Anyway, will more superheroes and such appear in Deadpool 3 besides the members of the X-Force? I understand that portraying Vanessa Carlysle in only her true identity in the two previous movies must have been a cost-cutting decision [10] [11], but I still think there should be enough time and money for officially bringing Copycat into live-action [57]. Who knows? Wolverine could make an appearance in her far more iconic attire for a much more tolerable fight scene, compared to the one that featured the “fake” Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine [28] [53]. Besides the X-Force and the X-Men, Deadpool has also been involved in the efforts of Red Hulk’s Thunderbolts before the group become defunct [14] [30] [31] [32]. I believe that there can be an official Thunderbolts movie or TV series from Marvel Studios sometime later this decade. Aside from possibly a more appealing battle between Logan and Wade, maybe Deadpool 3 could feature signs of Wilson’s interests in becoming a Thunderbolt like in the Thunderbolt comics starring the pack led by Red Hulk, as long as there will be an official Thunderbolts movie afterwards to prevent such a promise from being broken.

“If Laura ought to play a minor role in a Thunderbolts movie or TV series by the time she’s in her thirties, I hope that there’ll be an on-screen moment of me giving her a shoulder massage for good old time’s sake [56].” [31]

“And at least she doesn’t think making me X-rated is the best option, even though that seems like a hugely missed opportunity.” [27]

As a 2000s kid who remembers the phase of movie-licensed games for consoles [3], I would like to state that a video game based on Deadpool 3 to promote it would be a cool idea. However, plenty of gamers have learned that plenty of movie-licensed games tend to be…not that well made. E.T. knows from experience [55]. The fact that they tend to be released and market during the same year as the movies they are based on were a huge red flag back in those days [3]. Movie-licensed games may seem like an outdated phase most of these days [49], but I guess a new Deadpool game based on Deadpool 3 should perhaps be a mobile game that has a specific genre [25], such as social-simulation to balance time, budget and quality in the best way possible for promoting the film. Nevertheless, at least the re-imagining of the Ratchet and Clank franchise turned out to be both a trustworthy reboot AND a great movie-licensed game for the PlayStation 4 [48] [50]. Furthermore, want to release a great new Deadpool game based on Deadpool 3 in 2021 or 2022? Be my guest, Marvel. Do it for the antihero who loves Creed and hates Nickelback [1] [33].

“Damn it, Laura! You’re supposed to please me, you naughty girl. Not tease me. If you tease me again, I might handcuff you to the bed next to your boyfriend…when the lockdowns are lifted that is [6] [21] [22]. Don’t say that’s being mean because my antics don’t discriminate.” [54]

“By the way, nice short history lesson on movie-licensed games there, sweetheart. Like I said before, you’re supposed to be an aspiring video game journalist [56]. A very adorable aspiring video game journalist.” [17]

In conclusion, we are still yet to find out if the outcome of Deadpool 3 will enrich the manly mutate’s legacy in this new decade or leave us as puzzled as an unsolved Rubik’s Cube. If Ryan Reynolds will be too busy to play the role of him again in another official movie that could be about the formation of Red Hulk’s Thunderbolts, perhaps Michael Parker, the talented guy who was Deadpool in the fan-made musical films based on the official live-action movies can be hired as an exceptional alternative [12] [13]. Nevertheless, I sincerely hope the handsome and talented Reynolds has a blast with being with the merc with a mouth in a feature-length film for the fourth time and possibly some more [1] [10] [11] [47]. As much as we still have hopes for a third Deadpool movie during the protective lockdowns in our nations, a few of us may still be digging Wolverinepool, another alternative version of Deadpool [52]. Despite his deviously cheeky ways of hitting on me, I once again thank Wade Winston Wilson dearly for his third participation, even though I might get temporarily handcuffed to the bed for teasing him after the lockdowns in Britain and so on are lifted [6] [21] [22].

“Anyway, my little Laurapop is very welcome. I hope I’ll know where her ass is if I ever give her a back massage like how I gave one to Conan O’Brian [49]. Or better yet, I could serenade her after the lockdowns are over [6] [12] [13] [21] [22]…and before I temporarily handcuff her to the bed. As for you guys, I’ll see you all in the official Deadpool 3 trailer next year or two! Adios! xxx” [54]
